Is this normal for a Phone Battery?

Right let's keep this short, Is this: 4088mV doing my battery any good, i have noticed when it says that, The top of the phone gets really quite hot to the touch about 45C (I left my phone plugged to my pc in USB mode for 1 hour).

The battery it'[s self is running at 39C Constantly (according to the 'system' app i use to monitor my phone).

is this normal, and what should i do about this, I am running on the Modaco Custom rom GR5

I am using a App called 'System' to monitor it.

P.S My phone is NOT and has never been Overclocked.

Please Help!
