V1.2 was still broken. If you try V1.3 it should work properly: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/41652192/TPT%20Helper/Blade%20Checker%20v1.3.apk

says that European. is this right?

and what your program aims actually in whole target?

Yes, thats what it should say for your phone. The aim is to find a reliable way to tell the difference between European and Chinese Blades. TPTs for European Blades will brick Chinese Blades if used on them. If there's a reliable way to tell the difference, then stock Gen 2 image.bin TPTs can be added to the TPT Helper app for both European and Chinese Blades with much lower risk of bricking something.

It seems to be working well for European Blades now, just need some more results from people with Chinese Blades to make sure there are no problems there.

Is this app reliable at this point? I'm thinking of linking people to it from the windows flasher/de-bricking guides to determine which files to flash. There are also some new 256MB blades in Brazil and I'm hoping this can give some hints as to whether they have the 512MB in hardware.

Unfortunately not. I flashed a Chinese TPT on my phone yesterday to check this, and with it being limited to 256MB RAM, it showed as a Chinese Blade, even though it has 512MB RAM in hardware. It looks like this method of checking can only see how much is shown to the software, not how much is actually there.

I have an Indian idea blade . Your app shows unknown type of blade. Any way i can find out how much Ram has it got ?

I think the Idea Blade only has 256MB RAM. Could you post the output from /proc/iomem please?

Here it is . While buying the phone i spoke to one of Idea's officials, he confirmed that 256 mb is locked from a total of 512mb.

Thanks, I can see why it said unknown now. Might try and fix it if I get time.
