OMC has a button under battery cover: reset button?

OMC has this tiny button (the recessed black dot, closest to the battery) under the back cover. When I press it, it reboots the handset. Is this simply a reset button... or more? :P

I pressed it on mine and it turned in a Orange San Francisco.....


..... DAMN YOU ORANGE!!!
