Thanks for this review, I have popped one on my Xmas list. I was unsure if I had chose the right one, but after looking at the others around & reading this review I think I have made a good decision.

tempted by one of these but are all of them only 512 ram?
im wondering if that'll be an issue later down the road as i dont want to be buying one again anytime soon
also are there any speed/operating issues with the ssd or hdd options?
its the 3g thats tempting me the most on these over others ive tried

Yes, 512MB of RAM is definitely a major drawback and performance issues are becoming apparent when heavy apps or websites are loaded. It's apparent but bearable, at least in my eyes (and taking £199 price tag under consideration).

UPDATE:
As I managed to bag myself the HTC Flyer during the recent Christmas fire-sale, I now have Archos 80 G9 (same as reviewed) up for grabs, including the case. £180 delivered.
