Hi,

just tried the new galnet rom for o2x, but GPS doesn't get a fix.

I used previously cyanogen nightlies and got a 10second fix.

is there anything to change so that I would get the same quick gps fix as with cyanogen?
I have already tried to change the gps.conf and the gps_brcm_conf.xml files but without success
are there any other files which should be modified?

Maybe you want to try this steps and see if it work
1. Install fasterfix (set your ntp to your region)
2. Install getril and check if its compatible
3. With two step above only run the gpsfix

mine lock in 1-2 sec

cold boot will still take forever

i would like to know how it's done in the cyanogen rom

Hi,

I have also the galnet ROM and it gets the fix in 20 secs:
Go to settings -> My Location -> GPS configuration and change the SUPL server address to supl.nokia.com, port 7275 (not 7276 like the google server, I made this mistake and wondered why nothing happened ^^)...

NTP Server address (at least on my phone) is: 3.europe.pool.ntp.org

This worked very well.

unfortunately this did not fix my problem
it was the first thing i did

now I'm back on cyanogen nightlies, which works instantly
