Attached archive contain simple Win32 based program.

The program is editing QCN file, make a copy of it and replace mac address for a new one.

The original file remain intact.

Program is able to generate random mac addresses on request.

post-939973-0-48963200-1321447184_thumb.

Any one want to test it ?

Delphi 5 source codes on demand.

Sorry for all misspelling errors :P English isn't my native language.

v0.3 - minor code changes and clean up.

MACChanger_v0_3.zip

v0.2 - set mac address to default location, when the file was already patched.

MACChanger_v0_2.zip

v0.1 - initial release

Just a point: You need to modify this program so that it goes by the locations of the MAC address, and doesn't simply rely on their being "11:22:33:44:55:66" placeholder MAC address, as it failed when I attempted to patch a pre-patched QCN.

The addresses are 0x1e08 to 0x1e0d

Thanks! :D

Sure. I can easy do it, but I did test the program only with one QCN file. My own one.

I'm not sure, ale the files are same size and content.

If so, and mac address is always on same position in file, therefore it is no point to search for default mas address, but just simple go to proper location and set whatever we want to.

To test it, I need at least few examples of QCN files from different phones.

Yes, the mac address location is all the same: 0x1e08 to 0x1d0d

I can see no reason why the MAC address location would change, especially since NVITEMS is unaffected by ROMs and updates.

You have to use QPST 2.7 Build 366 software from Qualcomm to read one from your OMC/Skate.

The tool and the method were tested with ZTE Skate not with ZTE Blade. Be extra careful and/or find similar tread on Blade forum.

Any idea why I am receiving this message?:

"Your phone doesn't write MAC address, Please Confirm!"

I flashed r2-OUK_P743TV1.0.0B05 via FTM_flash_tools

dest-10.ini is within FTM_flash_tools\files, and contains:

[MAGIC_NUM]

set=262626

[SMT_TOTAL_LOCKNET]

total=3

[SMT_LOCKNET_1]

COUNTRY=Ó¢¹ú

SERVER=Orange

NET_TYPE=0

MCC=234

MNC=33

SUB_NET=----

[SMT_LOCKNET_2]

COUNTRY=Ó¢¹ú

SERVER=Orange

NET_TYPE=0

MCC=234

MNC=86

SUB_NET=----

[SMT_LOCKNET_3]

COUNTRY=test

SERVER=test

NET_TYPE=0

Can this "Mac Address Changer" program fix this? If so, how?

Yes. It can help you to do it.

Just read carefully this tread : Tutorial - Get your MAC Address if you already unlocked - NOW UP!

The tool can be use to avoid mess around with hex editors etc. . It will set MAC address instead.

I am trying to follow that guide.

I get to 5. and on the Backup tab, I have No Active Ports.

EDIT: I went into "QPST Configuration" and added new port in the Ports tab. Then the Software Download app found it :)
