What did you expect?
If it's the same size, it has the same or a smaller capacity. Thats chemistry.
Unless they use superior chemistry inside the cells - which we certainly would hear a lot of, because the first company to mass produce a battery cell of higher energy capacity per volume will be amazingly rich.
That is what everyone - tech gadget manufacturers/users as well as car manufacturers and drivers - are waiting for.
This is going to be huge in all media some time before first products are going to be available. You certainly won't notice it in an obscure ebay shop.
Hi o2mike, you're right it is chemistry. But the application of chemistry and the accuracy of the manufacturing process is what defines the capacity of a battery, not simply the technology involved. So it is possible to have more capacity within the same dimension's without the need for a "newer" technology. It is no coincidence this seller states that the battery is made in Japan. They know in our minds, that this equates to accurate chemistry and higher tolerance manufacturing, which is normally the case.
For those that have purchased this battery, no sweat, as SuperSkill pointed out, you still get a battery for $10.
Have fun. Anil
