Hello,

This is my first smartphone ever and after buying it I directly installed Cyanogenmod. I had access to the internal storage then.
But I messed my phone up somehow and semi-bricked it.

After googling, I came up with the following guide:

I succesfully unbricked my phone with that guide.

After that I updated the baseband with this guide:

And finally installed the Cyanogenmod again (7.1 rc1). But then I saw that I can't access the internal storage somehow. I don't have a micro SDHC card yet so I cannot take pictures and download wallpapers or music from the browser because it says that I need a SD card (before the brick it was possible). But the apps from the android market do get installed on the internal storage which I find weird.

Is there anything I can do to get my internal storage access back?

I hope someone can help me!

just pop an sdcard in it and the internal storage should become available

Why are you using RC1? Use the latest nightly.

Internal Storage on Cyanogenmod: /mnt/emmc

Some people prefer to know what will / won't work and so stick to a known quantity - i.e. a stable build. RC1 is really good - I used it for a while.

You can make the internal storage mount in the 'correct' place if you do not have an external micro SD card yet.

Settings => Cyanogenmod Settings => Application => tick Use Internal Storage

Edit: Then reboot

I don't have that option (use internal storage). I had it before I semi-bricked.

Just noticed that you said you installed 7.1 RC1. That is old. Really old. That came out well before the option to use internal storage appeared.

The oldest version you should be using is 7.1 stable. For a bunch more changes, use the newest nightly or a recent kang (as buildbot has gone down the shitter).

Aha! So rc1 is older than stable? I didn't know that, thanks for the info. Which version do you recommend? Stable, nightly or kang (never heard of kang before.)

Well, stable is the 'official' release, nightly/kangs are kinda like betas, newer code, but untested.

I guess as you're new you'd be better off with stable for now, you kinda get into a flashing habit with nightlies   Personally I liked being cutting edge, so built my own kangs
