The Atomic ROM supports it. And I believe that the original Orange Stock ROM did, too. Basically cause I've 480p mp4-videos recorded with the original ROM, lol!

COol, is it actually much better and whats the frame-rate/smoothness like?

Cheers

There is a big difference. Apart from the resolution we've got a rate from 1900 (instead of the 333).

non of the roms support 480p.

All roms have VGA video recording except cm7 with 288p

VGA should be 640x480, i was around when pc games where in that resolution.

I know as well what res VGA is, I was asking the person I quoted therefore...the quoting...

480p refers to 480 hight pixels, VGA has 480 hight pixels... in the end we KINDA have 480p

Atomic and any other room based on zte code does.

the roms only have VGA, nobody has cracked the "800x480" barrier yet..

..it was the same with san francisco for a few months untill it was availanble....I find the Blade / san francisco camera better, the omc/skate cam is more washed maybe due to the lens covering which the blade/osf doesn't have....

Tilal and Tilaz both said they were working on 800x480....

You do realise that 640x480 IS 480p right? 800x480 is not.

@Atomix86: Wrong, 640x480 is VGA as dadashi mentioned. 480p is 720x480.

240p: 320x240

320p: 240x320

480p: 720x480

720p: 1280x720

1080p: 1920x1080

In this specific case, 800x480 would be full-screen for ZTE Skate.

Since when?

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/480p

640x480 for 4:3, 854x480 for 16:9. The skate will never have native 480p, 800x480 is just an arbitrary resolution that they have no obligation to adhere to with video capture. So no, I wasn't wrong.

Always learning

I bound before you, you know how to use Google!

lol well you can think what you like I'm not fussed, I know what I'm talking about ;).

On a serious note does the libra 2.3.4 rom support 800x480? Surely some digging can be done with that.

guys, stop behaving like girls...:D...what we all want is 800x480 video recording or better, that is what the thread starter wants.

SanFrancisco Blade only had VGA 640x480 support but after a few months new drivers and kernel were available and using lgcamera we had 800x480 recording...I'm surprised we still only have VGA for omc/skate and cm7 doesn't even have that, only stamp size 352x288....equivalant to Sony 750i video recording from 6 years ago which was great at the time, that was a legendary phone....
