Hi,
I'm a happy user of ChocolateEclair 2.0 ROM on my good old GSM Hero. Recently, I started to run out of RAM after some idiotic apps were enforced on me by our mighty IT guys.
I hoped to gain some memory back by enabling the compcache/ramzswap, unfortunately there is no ramzswap.ko module in my /system/libs/modules folder, which is strange since early versions of ChocolateEclair used to support it. I tried to add the required files manually from Villains ROM 12 and from another 2.6.29 kernel ROM as well without any success; it looks like compcache must be compiled specifically for each kernel.
I wonder if there is anything obvious I miss which can help me to enable the Compcache without changing the ROM
Many thanks
Alex
