Hi

I was just wondering if i purchased a network unlock code for my ZTE Crescent (Tmo Vivacity) from tmo directly. would the phone be unlocked even when i use a different rom? Such as a debranded one. Or would it still be locked for other roms.

Thanks

I'm not absolutely sure how tmo unlock works but generally once a phone is unlocked you can do what you want with it & I would expect it to be the same in this case too otherwise there would be no benefit in "unlocking" it.

The unlock only sticks with the phone until you put a new rom on it is my understanding. I don't know what happens if you put a stock rom back on - if you'd need to contact T-Mobile / Orange again I mean! All the roms here are already unlocked.

It's the device that it's locked not the ROM. Once unlocked you can do what you want with it it will even be unlocked if you flash a stock ROM.
