Ematic eGlide 7" Android tablet

Hi,

I am new only joined a few minutes ago! I just purchased (yesterday) an Ematic eGlide 7" Android Tablet. I haven't received it yet but an trying to find out if I will be able to upgrade it from android 2.1 to android 2.2? Also, can this device be rooted? Not sure if this is a new model, I have not found any information on it.
