Hi Friends,

I have a small repair service for ZTE Blades in Germany.

I want to change the IMEI of the new electronics I insert, so they match the one on the box and on the sticker on the inside.

I have read the all the guides, but none does work

The phone seems to be recognized  and I can follow the hole tutorial, but I don't get the "terminal with  success message" that should appear, and the IMEI is not changed. Am I doing something wrong with the RequestNVItemWrite command? Is it right that I have to press only Enter to execute it?

I have:

Gen1
StockRom
FTM Modus

Which people can help me and FelixL

Iam testing with QPST Methode and zte imei Flasher (the last one will only work with imei0)

Thanks for your help

I do believe IMEI tampering is highly illegal in 95% of the world, and where i'm from, 5 years imprisonment, not sure about how the Germans think of it though. :)

ZTE SKATE - CM9 nightly by tilal1991 - brilliance.
OC'ed to 998MhZ.

Samsung Galaxy S - SGSICS - works brilliantly.
1GhZ - not touched CPU but watch this space ;)

If i helped you, HIT THAT PLUS! :)

The reason why you are having difficulty finding a way to change the IMEI number is because it is illegal, and rightly so.  I really don't understand why you would need to change the number as it shouldn't affect how the phone works.

You need to be rooted to be able to do that.

Why is the imei  different? As said, illegal in most countries due to it being done on stolen phones but as you have the box and sticker, it sounds legit.
It is an offence in some places to even own the software to change imei

I repair a Lot Blades ans have a lot Parts.

Sometimes a Part from a faulty Blade must bei change.

In this Blade which i repaired i changed the Motherboard. In System is a other imei as the sticky under the battery.

The sticky imei is the genuine imei from the Person. I want this imei changed in the System.

If you look in my unbricking thread you can do it - make a backup of channel1.nvm using the ZTE firmware flasher, hex edit it to change the IMEI, and then restore the file to the phone.
