I have played about with different ROMS but am definately an amateur.  Recently I installed an app (since deleted so cannot remember what it was) that would help simplify the trying of new ROM s.

This apparantly updates the clockwork mod also except now my phone freezes if I try and boot into recover (pwr & -vol).

Does anyone have ideas how I can reset or reload - basically get clockwork mod working again?

Orange SF, Froyo 2.2, Swedish Springs RLS5 ROM

It was probably ROM Manager you installed, if you install that again and flash ClockworkMod through that you should be set to go!

You are right - just gone on Android Market and recognised it.  Have downloaded and will flash clockwork tonight when I can access wi-fi.  Just notices my version of clockwork is 5.0.1.0    Does anyone know of compatibility issues with the SF since the jump from v3.0.2.7 (wish I didnt sound like such a noob.  Must read more books!! )

Yeah, if you have a gen1 device use version 3.0.1.4, gen2 can use the latest 5.0.2.0

And Mr Pigfish says...Gen1.  Every day is a school day.  Will reflash and see if I can back date to 3.0.1.4.

Rom manager, scroll to the very bottom, click all clockworkmod recoveries and the version you need is in there.
