I have noticed that when I uninstall an apk, there always seems to be files left behind. I'm sure this probably has something to do with moving apps to SD card. Short of periodically formatting my SD card, what options are there to ensure total removal of an apk and all its files.
I have also noticed that after I have removed an app, the apk file remains. I only noticed this as I am using Lewa rom which allows you to find apk files. I thought uninstall should remove the apks also?

Files left behind where?  If on the sd card, only files stored by the app in the android/data folder are auto removed. Anything else is left there.

My Blade site - includes vanilla KANGS's of CM7.  Also available: modified GB Gapps with various market versions, mini ICS Gapps for 160mb system partitions and Flash for ARMv6
