So I've got a San Francisco II, I managed to root & flash it yesterday. I've now decided that I need to re-flash with a different ROM, since the one I've installed is not well calibrated, and when I press something on the screen, it hits something else.

Anyway, I've got Clockwork mod installed on the phone. To root & unlock the device, I used this guide: http://ztecrescent.b...-unlocking.html
I used this rom:http://files.podtwo....date_signed.zip
Everytime I try to boot into recovery mode with clockwork mod, I'm just left stuck on this screen: Attached File  Untitled.png   95.43KB   6 downloads
I can't format the phone either, it does the same thing as the image above for that.
Here's some of what I can see from Clockwork mod..
I'm new to rooting and android, so I've probably screwed it up, but there's a first time for everything. Attached File  Untitled1.png   133.18KB   5 downloads
Any help would be great.
Thanks.

Have you tried power on and volume down button at the same time? This is done from a switched off phone. Hold both until you get into clockworkmod recovery.

Do you have superuser installed?

Are you sure that its rooted? I would start from scratch again using the site I gave. Leave it for the moment though, to see what others say.

If yiu have the zte dialler, there may be a calibration app already in the rom, called emode apk. This needs the stock dialler to work though.

For some of the San Francisco II roms, you need to flash the kernel afterwards as the one included is for the T-Mobile Vivacity. I guess this is what has happened here.

Have you been able to get into Clockwork recovery at any point since you unlocked the phone? If not, then you will probably have to reflash it. You can do that through fastboot (best method), or if you can't get the drivers working, you can do it by TPT.

Try looking in the San Francisco II section, you will find guides on how to do this there. The people there should be able to help you more as well.

TPT Helper lets you easily repartition your ZTE phone, install a new ROM and for the Blade, convert to/from Gen 2. Available for Orange San Francisco/ZTE Blade, Orange Monte Carlo/ZTE Skate and Orange San Francisco II/T-Mobile Vivacity. https://market.andro...horas.tpthelper

Yes, I'm sure. I can't install that driver, it just does this:
Attached File  Untitled.png   2.29MB   14 downloads

I attached the phone and tried to run clockinstall.bat and this happens:
Attached File  Untitled.png   1.16MB   16 downloads

Any ideas?

How many names does the San francisco II have? ZTE Blade, ZTE Crescent, etc? All the same?

I can get onto the rom manager, is that the same?

What's TPT?

The San Francisco II is only the ZTE Crescent. The ZTE Blade is the original San Francisco, a different phone.

Its not the same no. ROM Manger can act as a GUI front end for Clockwork, but it needs Clockwork working properly or it won't let you do anything.

TPT stands for Total Phone Transfer. Its another way to flash your phone. Its a bit more risky, but it also works more of the time.

How do I get clockwork working properly?

First try following this guide: http://android.modac...or-zte-blade-2/

If that doesn't work, try: http://android.modac...mple-windows-7/

And if nothing else is working, then this will almost certainly work (but its more risky, so try the others first): http://android.modac...flash-recovery/

I tried the second method. Here is the result: http://android.modac...ost__p__1919680

I don't no if you have bricked your phone but if you have, like I did once after loosing my proof of payment. I contacted orange customer services. Answered a few questions, after which they replaced the phone the very next day. As the phone was only issued in November it has a 12 month guarantee. You only get the phone, you keep your own battery, sd card and back plate. Doesn't matter if you have rooted e.t.c as they didn't check. This was done in the U.K and I do not know if is the same elsewhere.

I don't think a replacement is required. Any other suggestions?

No, looks a little complicated. Is there no way to simply re-calibrate the screen alone?

I don't know if there's a way to just calibrate the screen or not.

That method is a little more complicated when you first do it, but if you read it through a couple of times first, its not so bad. If there's any steps you aren't sure about then just ask and someone will be able to help you.

I love you. I've never been so happy to see a screen saying CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.7.

Now to try and install FIsh and Chips RLS4 I guess.
