And as I got out of work too late to get to the Vodaphone shop... ah well, maybe I should wait until someone works out the unlock method.

Got that 4" sweet spot of a screen.
I think it is the CPU and the memory that puts this phone way above for example the ZTE Skate. I am fed up with the ARMv6 CPU and constantly running out of space on data.

Why O Why did someone post this in the Skate forum, now I have a skate and a G300.
So far liking it, Orange better dump there san fran II at £90 and MC at £114. Although one draw back so far and may be a deal breaker for me the sound out of the rear speaker is so low it's almost useless well in fact it is useless. Ring tones are not bad but playing a movie on the skate i can sit back in my chair and hear it no problem but on the G300 you have to hold it to your ear. Will try and do a vid to show what i mean.

Just a FYI. Installed and ran ShadowGun in. Was a tad jerky in firefights but all in all ran quite well

That reminds me is this phone branded in any way, like with a stupid company logo on the case?

I dropped into my local Vodafone shop today to take a look at the phone. Couldn't see any Vodafone branding, but I prefer a phone with a squarer shape.
Whilst on the subject of new phones, I also went into a Orange store to ask about the Santa Clara. As usual, the staff was clueless. Orange is really poor at keeping the shopfloor up to date.

There is no information about the Santa Clara and no indication if it's even coming to the UK.

Looks good, but I'm saving my pennies for a galaxy note/one x.
I wanted a NOTE but not at £465 from expansys. Buy a Car for that LOL.
But screen looks very nice on my G300 shame about the rest of it.
tvcatchup is crap, bbc iplayer works but not as smooth as my old Sony arc s that wwnt back due to sensor fault.

I disagree, there is plenty of 'chatter' about it in the blogosphere, and it is expected to come to the UK market, albeit under a different name - Orange London is suggested, in the summer.

Meanwhile it's being launched on the 19th April in India as the Lava Xolo X900
the Orange Santa Clara has it's own forum here: SantaClara.MoDaCo.com
