thx i'll test it

just an other thing : some rom are well ported (fish and chips, freerom ..) but other (miui, or joyos) not. It's because the structure of these rom are not like skatie rom structure. If you look at miui rom which have atheros driver, 1 - you have to correct the updater-script in meta-inf (assert failed : getprop(ro.product device..,) I did it by replacing the file updater-script by the file of skatie rom.

   2 - after correcting this, an other problem : an error while flashing. I think it's because this rom have driver for atheros wifi in a directory /system/wifi which isn't present in skatie rom.

    3 - the rom P771FV1.0.0B05-update_signed which is the stock rom of my french isp (zte blade S) doesn't works with zte tool but i don't know why

Yes, its different for MIUI and JOYOS, because these ROMs are very deepseated in the framework...
There are plenty of Tutorials on xda, it's a different way to port these ROMs.

1) Alright, I'll have a look...but there should be no error...

2) That has nothing to do with the WiFi Drivers. Have a look into the Port.zip. You should see the META-INF Folder, the system folder and the boot.img...
Which error does CWM show you?

3) Have a look if the structure in the zip is correct. If it's a normal update-zip, it should work with no problems.

what you have to add to portingtool for next version lol : in miui rom and p771fv1 rom you have to replace meta-inf wich is not ported. For miui rom in directory etc/wifi it's necessary to delete all atheros drivers (but not wpa-supplicant file) cause it's not possible to flash with this files


miui-blade after flash i see boot image then "skatie custom rom" image but the phone reboot always on recovery.

p771fv1.0.0B05 : error message in the cwm : assert failed : package_extract_file ("recovery.img", "/tmp/recovery.img") (status 7) installation aborted. i replace it by skate's meta-inf so it's ok but wifi doesn't work

hi thx for new version i'll test it

with portingtool i had ported fnc rls3, fnc rls6 and fnc rls 7 : all was ok
it was before i saw that fnc rls7 exists for skate lol

There must be a way, because sacat did it succesfully...

Could you please have a look in your Port.zip?
Look if there is anything right in the structure...

I hope that doesn't depend on the new version. :/

Edit: Just figured out the error...there's a download error on the Skatie ROM.
You can choose Method B and obtain a 2.3.5 ROM yourself...

yes i port fnc_rls7_sf2 with no problem. My skate is a staraddict.

after porting you'll have meta-inf, system and boot.img( size file = 3 725 312 B)

It's depend on rom you port, you can replace  the new system/lib/dhd.ko by the skatie's one directly in your zip file

The fnc i dl'ed had a data folder and another file in the original zip, so i included them as well as the system,meta-inf, and kernel

Hello, I need help.

I have ported blade-lg-mode (2.3.5) to skate. All very well, but Wi-Fi and Bluetooth do not work. I have reviewed the files in /system/wifi, libs, etc, but I do not know which copy ...

Any help?

I used PortingTool v3 and skatie 1.0 base rom (Method A)

Do you have the Android SDK installed?

If yes, open ddms (or adb logcat) and filter out the errors while pressing the WiFi Button on your mobile...
It should show you, what libs/bins you're missing.

You could also ask sacat or muhahahaah, they both fixed WiFi on their ported ROMs.

Bluetooth will be more tricky...I think you have to change things in the frameworks to get it working.

Don't know how to use sdk ...

I looked at the link and I've done some tests but does not work....

This is more difficult than I thought ... although it is a shame because the rom works.

Well,
without the SDK you might be never able to fix these stuff...

It really isn't that hard. Download the SDK Installer, run it, install the Drivers and doubleclick on /tools/ddms.
