Heres the situation,  I borrowed a friends tablet (which is called the viewquest slate2); then accidently locked it with pattern lock, now I can't remember the pattern lock; it wouldn't let me factory reset without the pattern and it didn't have a gmail account saved to the tablet. So I looked online and thought I would try a hard reset by holding the power button volume down and the home button and now I am stuck at a screen with a green android robot and a warning sign (a triangle with an exclamation mark) and it won't power off, and I can't remove the battery, so my questions are:

how to get out of the warning screen?

How to rid of pattern lock without factory reset or gmail account?
