(questions will be slightly re-worded when several people ask the same thing)

Q. Does the S III feel well built? (via twitter)
A. Build quality is great, the device feels very sturdy and solid in the hand.

Q. Does it fit in the hand ok because of the size? Does it look like it will scratch easily? (via twitter)
A. I've been using a One X for the past couple of months, physically it's no bigger but it sits in the hand better due to the shape of the back and sides. The screen is Gorilla Glass 2, so pretty durable, as to the plastics it's hard to say this early on.

Q. How long does a cold boot take? (via twitter)
A. 5 seconds to the Samsung animation, 14 seconds to the unlock screen in total.

Q. How is battery life & can the battery be easily replaced?
A. Only time will tell on battery life, but yes the battery is removable so you can carry a spare.

Q. How does the screen stand up to the One X? (via twitter)
A. The auto-brightness is a little too agressive, as standard the One X appears slightly brighter, but compared at similar brightness levels they're on a par. Marginally better viewing angles on the One X, although that's not a factor unless you use the phone at extreme angles.

Q. Is the camera as quick as the One X, particularly in burst mode? (via twitter)
A. If anything it's marginally quicker, shutter speeds appear to be faster too from the brief motion tests I've done. Can give a definitive answer later once the One X is wiped to give a like-for-like comparison.

Q. Is the Notification LED the same as the Galaxy Nexus? (via twitter)
A. It is multi-colour, but they've re-situated it to the top-left corner above the screen.

Q. Is the SG3 screen same spec as the GN as per reports? Or does anything look better apart from slight size bump? (via twitter)
A. It's a definite improvement, the slight noise noticeable in solid greys is gone.

Q. How are you finding going back to physical/capacitive buttons after using softkeys on the GN? (via twitter)
A. The virtual keys are the one thing I really miss, having used the One X for a few months I'm used to capacitive again but the way HTC implemented them was pretty horrible. The dedicated row of virtual keys for the missing menu button was pretty ugly. As capacitive keys go, they're ok and the hardware button is nice to have.

Q. Does the SG3 take Micro-Sim or the larger normal size Sim? (via twitter)
A. The Galaxy S III uses a Micro-SIM

Q. Does the GSIII support UMA/Orange Signal Boost? (via twitter)
A. Signal-boost is a feature on operator-only devices, this handset is a SIM-unlocked unit so we can't confirm the status of UMA at present.

Q. Will it fit in the pockets of my jeans or shorts?
A. It's the same size as the One X pretty much, I'm carrying it in a front jeans pocket at the moment with no issue.

Q. What's in the box? (via twitter)
A. A pretty standard fare; handset, battery, charger, UK plug, USB cable, handsfree headset, replacement ear pieces for the headset, quick start guide and warranty.

gallery_372_65_12689.jpg

Q. Does it have Roboto as a font option and how is the inbuilt speaker? (via twitter)
A. Robot isn't one of the selectable fonts as standard. The built in speaker is fine from the limited testing I've done so far. Will do a proper comparison with the One X, Galaxy S II, Galaxy Nexus and Lumia 800 a little later on.

Q. Quad core Exynos or Snapdragon? Does it sport NFC? (via twitter)
A. This unit is the Exynos Quad, yes it's NFC enabled (and tested with the One X)

Q. What is the UK device product code? (via twitter)
A. The usual trick to get product codes isn't working (*2767*4387264636#) but we should be able to get this via Odin later.

Q. Can you change the lockscreen shortcuts on the GS3? (via twitter)
A. Yes, it's in Settings -> Security here:

We're going to continue answering your questions for the remainder of the day, the review is already underway and we hope to be able to share our findings with you soon.
I'm really interested in the quality of the sound reproduction via quality headphones. Plus the Galaxy Nexus I have has a useless external speak and I often miss call ring tone. Please tell me the S3 is as loud as the S2 which was ace.
