Guest squidlr
I wonder if Orange have allowed this to be as flexible as the ZTE Blade was? Looks good if it can be unlocked to another network complimented with a community ICS rom. Also interesting to see how intels mobile cpu will turn out. Battery killer? Too rich for my blood, especially with the hideous Orange customisation. I shall wait to see what ZTE have in the offing in the way of the Skate upgrade/replacement. Guest cmberry20
After reading about this on Trusted Reviews - i want!!! but, as long as it can..... 1. Be unlocked (different networks) 2. Rooted & Booted with custom ROMs (no more Orange junk!) 3. Play Flash media properly - theres too many web sites that still use it.
Guest MrPuddington
but, as long as it can..... 1. Be unlocked (different networks) 2. Rooted & Booted with custom ROMs (no more Orange junk!) 3. Play Flash media properly - theres too many web sites that still use it. I would be surprised if any of these work. Unlocking is getting more and more difficult - you probably have to buy the code from Orange. Custom ROMs will be more difficult on Intel - it takes getting used to, and the CPU may expect signed code. Flash is also unlikely, especially since the mobile flash player is discontinued. Maybe Intel pays them to do it, but even then it is going to be second best. I just don't understand the point of this phone, and why ZTE is not make a proper refresh of the Blade with ARMv7, more flash and a decent camera. Guest cmberry20
Someones telling fibs on the internet!! http://www.trustedre...le-Phone_review = Huawei !! http://reviews.cnet....eview-50007082/ = Gigabyte! http://www.techradar.com/reviews/phones/mobile-phones/orange-san-diego-1082925/review = Intel / Gigabyte. There seems to be a lot of confusion on who makes the chuffing thing!! But i'm sure that its actually not ZTE Edited June 1, 2012 by cmberry20
Guest huggyc
Gigabyte. They produced the xolo x900 in the same production run. Only the 'back' cover is different. (plenty of reviews out there re: x900) looking good! This device accepts micro-sim cards via it's side slot, also MicoSD at the underside. (once cover is off) ...and remember that it has an 'integrated' battery so maybe some tiny screws to 'faff with'!
