Everytime I apply an update via recovery I get stuck on bootload screen

on reboot. It just keeps reloading. I have to go in and wipe data and then start the phone from the beginning. Does anyone have any ideas? Today it just randomly turned itself off and then I was stuck on screen again

any modification really...so applying the sont bravia engine for example
