Hey all.. tried to restore my stock nandroid backup with Clockwork from Sebastian's de-branded ROM but keep getting an error message can't format /system. Tried advanced mode but no joy also tried the usual clean-up and wipe but no go?

Any thoughts?

Try a reboot back into ClockworkMod I think that *might* help

Sounds like a root issue but not sure. The reason I say that is because System is usually off limits to users. Do you have super su or super user installed?.

I'm not sure exactly how cwm recovery is implemented and whether it needs root to work.

I have had same error in past re /system and rebooting cleared it iirc
