Guest Magic_Desire
Huawei G300 (Original: Vodafone Germany; purchased new)Updated Firmware B886 (from Modaco, not rooted)Static IP (Static IPs for all devices)Mac-Adress-Filtering is enabled in all of my routersApps only from google playlast updated app: twitter (yesterday) All was fine for weeks until yesterday. Suddenly there was no more wifi-connection. I found out that the mac address of the G300 had changed independently. The Static IP of the G300 had changed to DHCP. How can this happen and what can I do to find out how that happened?I I know that HTC had a firmware on one of its phones that changed the mac adress automatically, too (because of a firmware bug). But I've never read that the G300 (B886) has such a firmware bug. Thanks Edited July 14, 2012 by Magic_Desire
Guest hydo1
I have noticed that many android phones do this. My HTC Wildfire used to, my ZTE Blade does too so I wouldn't be that surprised if the G300 did as well and yes it is very irritating if you have mac address filtering enabled. Did you notice that this only started when you updated to B886? Edited July 14, 2012 by hydo1
Guest Magic_Desire
Did you notice that this only started when you updated to B886? Immediately after the purchase I updated to B886 so I don't know if it happens with the former firmware, too.
