Guest kyan31
You should use the official ICS upgrade (B926) as it is fully working and bootloader unlocked! There is a full step by step guide on how to install it here: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?/topic/355583-[GUIDE]-How-to-install-ICS-4.0.3-(B926) (Copy the whole URL not just the blue part!) Guest FrankieADZ
imo the best ROM atm going for the G300 is AtmoicMod. its gingerbread. you can get the look of ICS by downloading Holo launcher,Holo locker. probably the best ROM for battery life & smoothness imo. *Havent got ICS/or tired it yet...so i cant comment*
Guest aswiseman
I have just bought this phone too and am wondering the same thing: I have the Vodafone B885 out of the box. I don't really want the Vodafone bloatware. I'd like a smooth UI which doesn't eat the battery. BUT this is for my other half who is used to Gingerbread and since I might need to take it back to Vodafone if I discover a fault, I'm looking for a good Gingerbread ROM, minus the Voda guff, but which I can easily flash back to stock... Opinions welcome
Guest Lgdslr
I've used CM9, stock, AtomicMod and am now on B926 and in my opinion it is up the best of them. I cannot fathom why anyone would want to be on gingerbread, and CM9 still has some features missing. -Install B926 -Disable 2D lock -Install Apex Launcher. Then uninstall the stock one using Titanium Backup. -If you're not happy with the speed, head over to the "improve memory management using ICS" thread and go to my guide on Page 3. Sorted.
