Hello,

I had this issue in B888.

I cannot change the voicemail number?

Any ideas why? I thought being a stock ROM, I'd be able to do this.

I'd rather not root the handset, due to my banking apps requiring unrooted phone.

Cheers.

there is a bool in the framework or settings code (cant remember) to use your number, its disabled by default,
not sure if this would be any help ?

EDIT: its framework-res

<bool name="config_telephony_use_own_number_for_voicemail">false</bool>

I fixed this in B888 (there's a thread in here that tells you what to do)

BUT, you do need root in order to delete and alter some system files...

The bootload unlock program has a function that roots the phone.
