Guest gesoku Posted July 18, 2012 Report Posted July 18, 2012 (edited) Hi all, Since I installed ICS I have a strange problem. Everytime I connect the mobile phone to the computer to transfer files, when i disconnect the usb cable, the phone´s ringtone ( .mp3 song ) changes automatically to predetermined ringtone. Does anyone have the same problem? Can anyone help me with this problem? Thanks in advice, :) Edited July 18, 2012 by gesoku
Guest michal.siman Posted July 18, 2012 Report Posted July 18, 2012 Yes. I have the same problem. I try use internal SD card for save ringtone, but this no help as well :-( Now i copy my ringtones (it is one small files for ring and one for messages) direct to /system/media folder (need root for unlock access) and it is ok for me. But it is a big problem for Huawei, but i dont now where is the problem, maybe just something wrong in custom rom or in cina rom - i would like to say "will be ok" in official europen ICS ROM, but we just will see :-) (btw i had tried two of ICS roms, and problems is on both of them)

Can you specify how can I copy in the system 2 selected ringtones? I´m root. Thanks,

Just a heads up phone needs a full reboot before it picks up the new media files in this location.
Guest michal.siman Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 (edited) Can you specify how can I copy in the system 2 selected ringtones? I´m root. Use ES Explorer (you can use a diferent one, i use this all time) go to ES settings, tick root, tick go to system folder and tick system is writable (all tree tick is together) and now you can copy the ringtones. After copiing finish, dot forget untick writable system. Just be careful, write something in system folder can be dangerous for your phone :-) Edited July 20, 2012 by michal.siman
Guest timfimjim Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 You all getting problems with music too? My phone randomly changed ring tone to default. But then I can't access any music or change the ring tone!
