Anyone know how to get cell broadcast on ICS? There was an App in gingerbread but it didnt do anything on the G300

Does anyone know how to get this working on the G300? It is part of nationwide alarm systems. I am not even sure if our phone has this functionality, maybe someone can shed some light on this?

It had it on gingerbread and ive used it on froyo (2.2).

Well then it should be there?
I'm on CM10.1 right now, but can't find the options for it..

Edit: Turns out that in current CM versions there is not yet support for cell broadcast. Nevertheless Android 4.2 natively supports it so maybe  future releases of CM might have it?

Did some more searching and this might be of interest, not sure if it works on our G300 though as it was made for the nexus 4. No way for me to test it right now; since here where I live the next test alert will be in May.

If that is literally just an apk it should work. Not sure why it's not in CM 10.1 if it's in AOSP 4.2. I'll try and get an answer.

I tried the flashable zip version and it said it installed ok but there is no option or indication for it under Settings/More...
Flashed over CM10.1 (which was OTA'ed from CM10).
