this is very unusual... no user has reported this, thanks for notifying me I'll loo into b6 and see what happens...

I had exactly the same issue twice. both times, when I got the black screen I held down power and got a reboot prompt, then setup continued after restart. if you can't get the reboot prompt, just battery pull...

I'm saving up for a sofa so I can sit in the other room and tweak my phone without my wife nagging... thanks!

I was on CM10.

I did a full wipe (wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, format data, format system) then restarted CWM (advenced/restart recovery). Then I installed this rom and everything went fine. I'm using this rom since then, without any problem. :)
I miss notification toggles and a keyboard correction dictionnary (hungarian) but beside that, this is a great rom. I have the best battery life since I got my phone!

TY, and keep up the good work... waiting for next releases! :)

that sometimes happens on first boot... give it a reboot and everything will be fine.

Thanks, If I helped in anyway don't forget to rep me :)

I can confirm this. I installed Jelly Cream Sandwich B5 yesterday and there was no notification bar at the top of the screen. I faffed around in the menus for ages to no avail and then just rebooted the phone and it then appeared.

I have to say that I am very impressed so far with this rom. I was on CM9 previously but was having problems with very badly distorted sound in phone calls to the point that you couldn't understand what the other person was saying.

So, I was torn between this rom and MeijaROM by 'thejaimes111' so I tossed a coin and this one won. What I will do is use this one for a week and then next weekend do a Nandroid backup and the give the other rom a try and then decide which I prefer.

Purely on a personal note, I do miss the notification power toggles and it would be nice if they were to be incorporated in a future release (if there is to be a future release). I'm using the power toggle widget at the moment but it doesn't cover half the things that I want to toggle. For instance it doesn't even have a toggle button for the mobile data unless I'm missing some settings somewhere.

Anyway, many thanks to the developers for this rom.

I'm sure it used to Russell. I don't have it anymore, but yeah, I do remember that the settings were a bit confusing. Is there an icon with an arrow up and and an arrow down?

No, the built in power toggles widget doesn't appear to have that at all and I couldn't find any configuration settings.

However, I have now installed the 'Power Toggles' app from the play store https://play.google....WlubGVzcy5wYyJd which does exactly what I want. I has all the toggles that I could wish for and you can add or remove whichever ones you want. You can also configure it to install the toggles as a widget on a homescreen or to the notification bar.

I have come across two possible problems with this rom. I've only had this rom installed for about a week and both these problems appeared after a few days of working normally.

Firstly, for no reason, my phone stopped ringing and only vibrated when receiving a call even though I had set the ring tone and notification tones up and had been working up until that point. When I checked the sound settings both 'Phone ringtone' and 'Default notification' had reverted back to 'Default' which meant no sound. I have now set them both back to their previous settings and it is working fine again. I will keep an eye on this to see if it changes the settings again.

Secondly, if the screen is off and a call comes in the screen does not wake up to show who is calling. The phone rings but the screen is still off. I have to press the home button to wake the display up to show who is calling and answer the call. As I said before this problem started after a few days and is now permanent even after a reboot.

Other than these two issues everything else appears fine.
