Guest belmet
so I got a notification today saying that I needed to update some apps such as YouTube. now when I click the icon my phone helpfully informs me that the app is not installed. I can open whatever from inside Google play but not the launcher. I'm on stock 936 England. I now have about 6 apps including maps that behave this way. and yes I have rebooted and uninstalled / reinstalled the offending apps to no avail. any ideas? Guest droiddruid
How are you installing the apps? Via titanium backup without market links perhaps?
Guest belmet
I am not using titanium backup on this rom. this is a stock non root non cwm 936. the updates came from play store. I do have a backup for infusion but I loathe to go back to it because it was a bag of spanners imho.
Guest droiddruid
Confused then because if you reinstall the apps from the play store you would get current versions not older versions that need updated.
Guest belmet
yeah that is the thing. I have the latest apps but they will not open from the stock launcher. I have to open Google play navigate to the application and select open (next to uninstall) to launch it. the older apps I could just click the icon and use. Guest droiddruid
From the manage apps menu try clearing cache for your launcher. Try wiping dalvik cache in CWM
