I opened this up to investigate why on earth the WiFi reception is SO SO poor... and it's because there appears to be nothing more than a surface mount jumper acting as the antenna! :-/
For those wishing to open up their Ainol tablets, I would tell you this - it is VERY simple, and not at all scary. Being an electronics guy, I've opened/modified/repaired more devices in my 37 year life than I can even recall, so this kind of thing doesn't phase me - it's just good to use common sense. Simply inserting a thin plastic card (1/2 the thickness of a credit card will do) between the brushed metal frame and the backing "tray" (which is essentially what it is) will release some elegantly simple clips - just work your way slowly around all four edges... then ease the front out.
### WARNING - FLAT FLEX RIBBON CABLE INSIDE - FRAGILE!! ###
The ribbon cable for the LCD is VERY thin, Kapton tape colour (dark yellow) DO NOT tear this OR strain it!
That's all.
