Just bought an Ascend G300.

Bring it home and put it on charge but the LED turns green immediately, only flashing orange for a split second.

The battery was about 70% charged when first turned on.

Should it not stay orange until reaching 100% charge?

On standard settings it turns green when it reaches >90%.

No, it goes green when it reaches a certain level, which I think is around 80%.

Thanks. I'll let the battery drain to about 60% and try.

Amazing little phone for the price!

Leave it for 5 minutes. Mine does this, stays green but after a while starts charging properly and turns yellow.

It may be worth checking the cable.. I've got a couple of 'skinny' cables in my draw that just refuse to charge the thing or only partially charge it... it seems to like more solid chunky ones

I've let the battery drain to 60% but when plugging in it still turns green?

Should I take it back and get it changed?

Does it really matter if the light is a little inaccurate?

I guess not.

How orange should the LED be when charging? Maybe it is the right colour and I just don't notice the difference?

Edit: OK I must be going colour blind or something. Just downloaded an LED colour tester of the market, and I can see the difference between the green and orange LED now.

It has in fact been orange the whole time

Sorry.
