MSM/QSD Android Enablement project allows users to build an Android based platform containing additional enhancements for Qualcomm chipsets.

The platform is based upon Android Open Source Project process and tools. Documentation, original sources and an overview of Android can be found there.

A Gitweb interface is available to browse the Code Aurora source tree. The Android Open Source Project interface can be used as reference.

As the LG Optimus L3 is a Qualcomm MSM7225A, which is a MSM7627A chipset, we should be able to find out which Code Aurora Forum (CAF) branch was used as a base.

If we look at the CAF releases, https://www.codeaurora.org/xwiki/bin/QAEP/ there are only two branches to look at:

gingerbread msm7627, msm7627a, msm7630, msm8660, msm8660_csfb, msm8960
gingerbread_chocolate msm7627a[/code]

If we grab the msm7627a kernel from gingerbread and gingerbread_chocolate and diff with the lg e400 sources we have, we should be able to see which source was used, and we could then use that as a base to update the kernel.

Moving forward, we should be able to build Jellybean for the Optimus L3, but we are far away at present
