Give a look at update.zip and you will understand..
It flash system, boot, bootloader, baseband etc etc etc
So his CM is really hard bricked.... or at least no one know how to resurrect it.... Infact Acer service has change mine motherboard with the same "hard brick"

just for the record....did someone tryed to flash jelly bean for those with cpu type -1?is there a way to make it work for those who bought the phone from orange ro?i`ve allready changed my phone 2 times )

what cpu type do you have?-1 or -3?i curios if someone with cpu type -1 managed to flash this rom.

Guys, relax. Just bought my phone from OrangeRomania. I did not check it yet as i am at work but> Guys stop hardbricking your phone. I am a 2 year Motorola Defy user and we came from 2.2 to 4.2. I flashed ROMS every day... but it wasn't easy at first.

We had to wait a couple of months for things to move. Also the Defy has locked Bootloader and Moto lied to us about unlocking it. It's been almost 2 months with custom Kernel for us. Before this the locked bootloader prevented 3G signal from being enabled.
And although we had some majos setbacks i am running for quite a while 4.1.2 as a daily driver, pretty smooth with all the features.

So my advice> wait. When Acer will release the JB update things will be more easy for custom. OF course someone has to try it and may get bricked phones in the process but let's be patient. Also, i salute you all as this is my first post in this community.

Here are some printscreens from the dropdown. They removed the music tab. The lockscreen is still the same and performance is better in my opinion, but that could be because there are less apps on my device since the update;)

I flashed my phone yesterday, and I love it. In my opinion it operates smoother than before !

Another question, can we root this ROM ? If i try adb reboot bootloader -> ok, but fastboot the image like in this threadgets my phone in a  boot loop :-(

Finally I took the plunge and buy a cloudmobile before christmas ;-)

I flashed the leaked jellybean and unlocked the bootloader as soon as my battery was fully charged and that I checked I had the -3 version   yeah, living dangerously ;-)

Everything is working well, I am waiting to have a microsd before adding CWM, maybe there will be custom roms at this point (I miss CM10, even if the acer skin is not too intrusive, all the little tweaks of CMW are not there...)

Phone is nice, screen is great, battery is awful...and I miss a notification led....but still, no better deal for this price ;-)

Only strange thing I got with the leaked rom was a few crashes during a download using a very bad access point...I had a blue screen (really like the blue screen of death in windows, fist time I see something like this in Android) due to a full system crash, telling that it will dump memory on SD in 10, 9,8,... seconds. Well, no sd at the moment so obviously no dump, but I had to remove the battery to reboot from there. A few time cause it kept crashing during this download...
This leaked JB looks like a debug build to me, so I am not so sure the bootloader will be unlockable in official JB....So this leak may be a life saver....and I will be very careful before flashing official JB.
