Downgrade factory ROM question

Have two G300 devices. Made a mistake to upgrade the first one to ICS without backing up the IMEI so based to timethrow's guide can't really downgrade the factory ROM. Now since I have another device running B893 is it possible to use that IMEI and downgrade the first phone?

I think you can backup the imei on ics still? I think that's what I did.
