I recently flashed baidu rom...which was quite good as it has good gaming support and beautiful UI but i was most impressed by the voice unlock feature and search....

Supported Baseband=====>2030

but it only support u8818 model so you have to replace  the updater script
the script can be found at \META-INF\com\google\android\

and plz do nothing else i have updated the script to run on U8815 model and to prevent the format of internal memory......so  nothing
should go wrong..

After you have successfully installed the rom flash google apps(gapps) for ICS..only after a factory reset...


-------------------------------------------------------------How to change the Chinese recovery--------------------------------------------------

the recovery is in Chinese language but functionality is just like clockwork so if you want to change it
follow these steps (only after you have installed the rom)

1> put zip file of cwm recovery in your SD card.
2>reboot into recovery.
3>in the main menu of the recovery look at the 2nd option from the top...  it will be chchchch  zip chchchc (ch= Chinese).
4>select the second option and browse to your cwm zip file..and install it by pressing power button..
5>once installed go back to main menu(the back button is one top of every list).
6>in the main menu goto the last option it is to turn of your phone..select it.
7>reboot into recovery again by pressing volume up and power button..
8>you will probably get your CWM recovery...





Q-Why should I do all this?
A-trust me this ROM is WORTH it......


ADDITIONAL SUGGESTIONs
1.the rom doesn't have busybox so you will have to install it manually....
2.if some application report bad root then flash the superuser zip file...====>http://downloads.nos...-arm-signed.zip

3.Strongly recommended to take a full backup..plz

you have to do a clean wipe...i.e. factory reset....then install the rom.

you corrupted the zip..try again with a clean zip..

I`ve tried Baidu Rom twice, got errors.
It would be nice to have this rom here, so please try to modify script and upload it.

And another thing - what to do with that change to chinese recovery???

so here is what i did:
1.in teamwin recovery i did a factory reset
2.flashed the rom (says:install complete)
3.flasehd ics gaps (says install complete)
4.reboot to system
5.got bootloop in the older rom bootlogo
6.reboot to chinese recovery and reinstall the rom but got error in install.

I only replace the update-script,nothing else.

Plssssssss upload the rom.zip not just the update-script....

sorry i don't have that much bandwidth but i asure you there is no diff.  i just replaced the script
you  should try with wiping everything except internal memory..... good luck

Well i did it!
Here`s what went on:
My cwm is 6.0.1.2
I got this Gaijyn`s modified zip few posts above and pushed it through cwm.
Crossed my fingers and in the end got this:

random offset 0x1ae (this is OK I guess)

And then, while rebooting:

"rom may flash stock recovery on boot" Fix?

I guessed that this would bring up chinese cwm if I say no, so I choosed "Yes"

Everything went fine, so thats it.
