Flashing a stock firmware will make you lose root, however your bootloader will still be unlocked.

Pre-MCR loaded up onto my new Padfone 2. Looking forward to a full MCR.

Fingers crossed a custom recovery will come along soon.

This is a great start! I'm excited to have flashed my first custom rom for this guy. I've been flashing the MCR roms since the Acer Liquid. Thanks Paul! I'm really hoping development for this device will take off. It's a shame that it's only available in a limited number of markets.

OK Paul...... I'm moving forward having continued my research. Have installed SDK with the minimum packages needed to get this done. I've also located my ADB folder and confirmed my device - padfone 2 is recognised. You may think me lacking, but i'm gonna nail this thing....... Garmin!....Be Gone!!!! :-)

Worked perfectly, but i had to wipe data after the first attempt failed, as you suggested.

Garmin partition gone! I learnt so much getting to this point, thanks heaps.

is it any other software can check what apps cause no deep sleep ?!

Try BetterBatteryStats app, then you can exactly know what is avoiding your phone into deep sleep.

It's a paid app in GooglePlay but the developer it's available for free into XDA.

Managed to succesfully update this Pre-MCR to WWE_A68-10.4.12.24.

- Put the OTA.zip at the root of ur sd card

- Reboot. System starts.

- Should see a warning "New update found"... Install

- System reboots.

- Done. Latest firmware updated, lost twrp and root.
