Slowdowns

Hi all,

My G300 suffers from slowdowns and general lag when using apps. For example it can take 5 seconds to open GOsms or Facebook etc. Apps hang sometimes and need to be force closed.

This has happened with various custom ROMs including lightening, Stock+, Electra. Currently on Cyanogenmod.

Any ideas on how to fix this please?

When you installed the roms did you perform the necessary wipes?

If you did, and you're talking about the phone getting slower over time then try wiping the dalvik cache and see if that helps... It usually works for me.

Another thing to have a look at is how many apps are running.

Use slim from v13, I always have over 140mb of spare ram and its the only from that does not lag over time.

Yeah I had that problem too.

I've changed many ROMS myself but now I've decided to stick to Infusion cause it performs the best.

I'm guessing you're having the problem with GOSMS cause u have alot of messages. You can increase the minimum CPU frequency and check if it happens again. Increase it till you no longer have the issue.

Also change the sheduler to smart ass v2.

'Greenify' app can help if you've got several apps insisting they should run in the background when you don't need them to.

Sometimes though, the solution is to uninstall the apps you don't really need...
