Guest seanspotatobusiness Posted September 10, 2013 Report Share Posted September 10, 2013 (edited) When I go to 'Storage' in Settings, the following two partitions are evident: Internal Storage - total 0.98 GB (Apps 649 MB, Misc. 127 MB, Available 232 MB (it's worth noting that there's nothing available about that 232 MB! The phone won't let me install any more apps unless I transfer some to my SD card). USB Storage - total 1.49 GB (Available 1.45 GB). The third entry pertains to my actual 32 GB microSD card and is irrelevant. So I'm pretty irritated that ZTE decided to partition the memory in this way. That 1.45 GB isn't doing anything useful at the moment. I'd have liked to keep all my apps on the same partition. Do you think a future ROM may be able to merge these partitions? But its small size in a phone with an SD card slot doesn't leave it good for much! Does the phones rom favour using it or the external card if an external card is present? For stuff like apps moved to sd in android_secure and obb files for apps etc? My SGS favours using the internal even if an external is present but it at least is a more useful 6GB https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devasque.fmount is good for moving folders from one sd card to the other. And in Android 4.2 and older you can swap the internal and external sd cards if need be. That's actually a bit limiting as that means you can only move 1.5GB of apps to the SD card. I seem to have over 3GB right now! Some how...
