Nexus 7 LTE UK why the price hike?

Ever since the Nexus 7 2013 was announced I have been waiting for the LTE version to hit these shores.

Recently O2 announced that they were to stock the Nexus 7 LTE but shock horror at £319.00    with (wait for it) 2Gb of 3G data

come on O2 at least make that a 4G sim even with only 1Gb.

But my point is why the difference in prices?

US $349 (£219 as of 18/09/13)

UK £319

Today Google have officially launched the unlocked LTE version in the Google play market now at £299.00

This although cheaper than O2's is still a £60 premium over the Wi-Fi only Nexus 7 when compared to the prices offered for the 2012 version

UK Prices

Nexus 7 (2012) 32Gb Wi-Fi £199 32Gb 3G £239

Nexus 7 (2013) 32Gb Wi-Fi £239 32Gb LTE £299

US Prices

Nexus 7 (2013) 32Gb Wi-Fi $269 32Gb LTE $349 (£169 and £219)

Grrrrrrrrrr why always such a difference in prices.

I'm going to start a campaign for "Price Comparity for all" . :angry2:

One thing to remember about comparing US and UK prices is that the US ones don't include tax. This down to the tax varying from state to state.

Granted, there is still 30-40 quid difference based on my quick maths. But it is much closer then.
