At £40 a time I'll let someone else review it. I loved how one of the reviews on the Tesco Direct web site moaned there was no key for unlocking the screen and he still had to do it manually! Can't please everyone!

I'll probably pick one up months down the line when Tesco is trying to clear stock and their under a tenner!

Gosh, that's... quite a strange reaction to a peripheral... but regardless, thanks for telling us.

Here's the link:

You think that is strange?

you my friend, have led a sheltered life.

Wait till i start talking about unicorns and balloon knots.

:P

What i am eluding to, is that this is a pretty awesome peripheral for any device, let alone a £100 tablet that may very well transform it into the bastion of awesomeness for alot of us.

My brother in law laid out well over 150 alone for similar for his iPad.

This could be a game changer for this little tablet-o-joy.

That's all i'm saying

Hmmm, I might be interested but having laid out for an official case already I'm not sold yet. My main concern would be that it seems to only offer one screen angle, whereas the Tesco folding case allows half a dozen.

Also, at £40 it better come with little unicorns making the bluetooth connection.

Hudl 2 + keyboard case = £169. Linx 10 Windows 8.1, 10" tablet with keyboard case with track pad, may be had for a mere £10 more at Argos. I know which I'd go for - the Linx.

Define: "horrific". According to whom? All reviews are stellar.

I see the point about club card points though. But then, one buys a product depending on suitability for needs, not depending on how many vouchers they have, surely? Then again, if the two align, you're happy :)

FWIW, with the 1/3 off code and £10 of clubby vouchers, the kb is £6 real world money.

No, no I didn't miss it, I was merely offering a viewpoint, which is kind of the point of a forum. Anyhoo, you're happy, I'm happy, we're all happy and dancing the waltz with amazing technology at ridiculously low, bargain prices. Bazinga! :)

Luckily, as a forum for an specific android tablet, we don't need to debate the pros and cons of some random win8 tablet. There are plenty of other places for that.

More on topic, has anyone used a standalone Bluetooth keyboard? I'm wondering about picking up one to simply use in conjunction with my existing case.

A comparison to an equally priced combination of hardware, is hardly out of context... unless the thought police have been silently recruiting people and issuing them legal powers, I'll offer alternatives if I so desire, with no problem whatsoever. Edited by glossywhite

Sarcasm, really? For what, exactly? That's just rude, but never mind - you clearly had to get it out, I hope you feel better now it's off your chest.

The sound of the pot and kettle clashing together is quite drowning out any sense that might be drawn from this thread...

The saucepan seems to have joined in too...

You're a newcomer here, and although being new doesn't have the gravity that people often assume it to, and it certainly doesn't mean you have less intelligence or value, you may want to "blend into the background" a little as a newcomer, and not start assuming mini-mod status - you won't make many friends with comments like your last.

Hope you take that in the best way, as I meant it for your own sake - not on a nasty or bossy way - so you enjoy your time on modaco.

I am not being sarcastic. I quite like your replies.

See, wrong again.

If i wanted to be rude i would have just called you a bawbag. No?

Ah, luckily for me the magic of the search function confirms that sarcastically passive-aggressive posting that borders on trolling is your raison d'etre, and therefore I can just pass you by and wait to see if anyone wants to discuss the actual thread topic.

I humbly say sorry, then. I genuinely am. It is just SO easy to get the wrong end of the stick, with text based communication. I once had a huge misunderstanding with a good friend, which went on for 10 mins to and fro, and it was clear he had no intention of calling me to clear it up, so I called HIM... and it was all resolved in ten mins - just think, we could have been sending thousands of texts to and fro for days, the disagreement would have escalated and we STILL would have got nowhere, and had our time wasted.

If you could make statements completely unambiguously, it could help :) thank you my good man.

I'm not sure what you like about my replies... I just think many many MANY people take themselves and their personal agendas wayyyyyy too seriously on the net (me too) and I just like to (try to) lighten people up a bit. Life's too short.

If there's nothing to say to me, say nothing. Evidently you just can't help yourself. Please - do move on and ignore me, I'm not offended. ;)

Without using the 1/3 off code (what is the code please?) and/or Tesco Clubcard vouchers, £40 does seem pricey in relation to the cost that most of us paid for the tablet itself. Has anyone purchased one? If so, opinions please? Is it better or worse than using a cheaper third party Bluetooth keyboard along with existing Hudl 2 case?

I tried both of the Tesco cases, soft touch plus leather one, but wasnt overly impressed with either so returned them. Purchased a third party 'Apple iPad' style slim magnetic case from Amazon for £7.99 which I preferred. Two options now would be purchase a separate third party Bluetooth keyboard for occasional use along with my existing case or go for the Tesco keyboard case and flog other case. For carrying around, I prefer a slim and light case as unlikely to spend long periods wanting to input lots of text but if in one place for extended periods of time a keyboard could be useful as opposed to frantikly tapping away at the screen, lol!

Thanks.
