Hello,

i have a problem with my ZTE Open C EU, i have make a mistake.

I have make a clockworkmod 6.5.xx, then i saw, my wifi is not working, no imei ect....... The mistake was, that i load a original recovery.img. Then i hope, when i original stock rom my handy is okay. that was not so :-(

Now, my handy start not in the normal mode (no android, no firefox). the handy boot automatic in the recovery mode.

When i load a rom (original or custom), then i get more errors and a aborted install.

Connect to PC, i get a ZTE Handset Diagnostic interface or ZTE Handset ADB interface.

I get 7 partitions (windows 7), the first partition have 2 order (image and verinfo).

Nanddl is not working.

I have make a picture, its interessting then i have a ffos recovery and a kis III, that is not normal, i think so.......

I hope so, that have anyone a idea or tips.

thx JGP

Let me guess, you installed some ROM before updating your Open C to KitKat (Android 4.4) first. Stock Firefox OS is based on Jelly Bean (Android 4.3). RIL and wifi won't work if you have Jelly Bean modem and KitKat ROM (or vice versa).

You should be still able to flash stock ROMs that match the stock recovery you flashed. What stock recovery is that exactly?

If you have adb access you can simply 'adb reboot bootloader' and flash/boot whatever recovery image using fastboot (as instructed in the ClockWorkMod thread).

hello, thx for answer.

i install rom (konstaT 4.4 and 5.1.1).

I cant make debugging mode, while not booting normal. when i start the handy, black screen, then anyone a white screen and then in the recovery mode.

i find no rom to install (sdcard) with no error (aborted install).

example: when i install 5.1.1, i get a error (E:signature verification failed Installation......)

ffos->android and android ffos i get install error.

sorry, im not so good in english, i give my best to understand.

thx jgp

Yeah, but no EU_FFOS+to+Android.zip as instructed, which is why RIL and wifi didn't work in Android.

In that case you should still have Firefox OS bootloader that allows you to boot directly to bootloader by using power + volume down key combination. Once you've booted to bootloader (stays in the splash screen) you can use fastboot to flash/boot any recovery image.

If that doesn't work, you can try if the Windows flasher recognizes your device in some mode.

hi,

i done - but no working. i think its more damage.

power + volume down is no working, i come in the ffos recovery mode  screen - no device on pc

power + volume up/down - device pc (zte handset diagnostic interface)

"apply update from ADB" - device pc (zte handset ADB interface)

i think that all function on the handy.

thx jgp

That would indicate that you've successfully flashed EU_FFOS+to+Android.zip at some point (which is bad news because it also updates bootloader to one that doesn't support cold booting directly into it). Stock recovery only supports adb sideload mode so you can't use adb to reboot your device to bootloader.

Are you sure you did't format some of your partitions when they got mounted on Windows? There's most definitely something corrupted because you should be able to flash EU_FFOS+to+Android.zip with that recovery (it's stock Firefox OS recovery, right?). Also, NandDL is a tool for a completely different device that has completely different hardware (msm7227a on ZTE Open vs. msm8610 on Open C). It's really difficult to say because I don't know what you've done to your device...

You should be still able to restore your device using Qualcomm service tool called QPST and firmware files from the Windows flasher. I can't guide you to this because we're not even supposed to have that proprietary software to begin with. I don't brick devices either, so I'm not that into the unbricking scene. ;) There's some unbricking guides on Russian forums, though.
