It was of course originally set up specifically for SPVs, now it's been broadened to SPV/Tanager (cos they're almost the same). And a sister site has been created for the "other" smartphone :) So, in the future when a number more Smartphone 2002 based phones are out, will Modaco/smartphone be smartphone 2002 focused with maybe a single hardware specific forum for each flavor (ie, Mitac, SPV, etc) or will you be building a seperate forum for each type of hardware? Guest Paul [MVP] Posted March 10, 2003 Report Share Posted March 10, 2003 Yeah, the forum will remain 'MoDaCo SmartPhone', and cover all SmartPhone 200x based devices. Of course the structure of the inividual areas may need to change, but we will see when the time comes :) On the 'Other SmartPhones' front, I am currently undecided whether to keep the P800 area as is, rename to MoDaCo Symbian, or ditch it altogether. I have also had a request from a user to run a 'Pocket PC Phone Edition' (e.g. XDA) forum, which is a possibility. I wouldn't expect any major changes in the very near future tho... I feel that I personally may remain dedicated to Smartphone 200X for some time to come, but I can feel myself wanting to shift to new hardware when it comes out and wouldn't want to find myself up a creek without a forum.
