Forget the P800 - This looks cool!

Clams are for people who can't master the hold-down-red-phone-key-to-lock-keyboard trick.

Since these people are usually unable to find the do-not-answer-upon-opening-phone menu item, a second screen was added to the outside of the clam.

Operators are very happy, as these people, strangely enough, still manage to hold down jobs and pay their cellphone bills.

I'm seeing a lot of resentment towards flip phones by some folks. What's it all about?

Personally, I prefer them. They are smaller, don't need annoying key locks and the screen is protected while they are in your pocket.

I played with a NEC e606 (and a P800 ;)) today, the NEC didn't seem massively larger than a Panasonic GD87....

And the SPV wipes the floor with the NEC in terms of A/V usability, no fullscreen, low resolution and frame rate, proprietry OS (i think, didn't look like Symbian...), and the Motorola and Qwerty NEC really are a step into the darkages (eg the '80's) in terms of size...

Back on topic, i think the SE looks cool imho :), shame its Symbian though

Yep - I'm not a great fan of flip-phones but it looks good, this SE. I wonder if the quality is any better than the P800's?

Looks good, but I imagine it's the size of P800 which I personally think is a 'soap-box'. If it had MSSP2002 and was like 1/2 the size - I'd probably go for it.. (assumption: loss of spv + way to avoid paying for it) :)

General opinion around the office I work in (tech support of Wintel servers) is that the SPV is much cooler than a P800 and its all down to the OS. Personally I have no view on the flip phone thing all though if it folded up nice and small I'd go for it.

Something that folded up to the size of my old Motorola V3690 but had a big f*$k off 320 x 240 screen.

That'd be nice :)
