However, when using the headset to listen to music etc.. is the SAR rate '0' since I am not on a phone call, or is there still radiation since the phone is still on and therefore receiving a signal? As far as I know the radiation is even worse with a headset (this was proven in the late nineties), because it leads the radiation straight into your head, So if you want to listen to music the whole day and are concerned about this, you should put the radio off, which of course unfortunately means you don't receive any calls! When you are not in a phone call the power level is negligable so I'd guess listening to music on the headphones all day would be OK.
