P&P took it up to nearly 30 though :/ so i'll wait until i have other things to order from there methinks... It's ment to be all singing and all dancing, better speed and power support. USB2 is ment to be backward compatable but if you only have USB 1 or 1.1 on your PC you may have problems, so it may be better to get the standard USB if you're not sure. Guest HelloDave Posted March 18, 2003 Report Share Posted March 18, 2003 Not a lot of point getting the USB 2.0 reader really; the maximum theoretical transfer rate of an SD card is 1.2mb/sec, which also happens to be (roughly) the maximum transfer rate of USB, so I don't think you'd notice much of a difference in performance between the two versions in this case. If you open device manager (in system properties) on your PC that should tell you everything you ever wanted to know about your USB ports. I should be getting commission from these guys! - but they do have a few excellent deals, particulalry in their "gone in 24" bargain basement department.
