The service has gotta be damn good in the UK before I'll leave a tip.
To avoid those arguments over the restaurant bill....

Yep agree on that one, why should you pay for service if you don't get it.
Or if you go to CentreParcs Evlden coffeshop then 1p is enough, terrible service there had to wait 45minutes to
get a drink, went to the bar and was told to stay at my seat and you will be served (someday)

We were in the cafe on the top floor of the tate modern in London, and were waiting ages, while they served loads of other people who came in after us, to finally receive some very underwhelming food, and after all that they had the cheek to try and add an automatic 15% service charge to the bill! - I THINK NOT!

Hi Guys,
After much debate, I needed to slightly readjust the price to $5.95. It is still significantly less then the original price of $7.95, but I needed to bring the price up a little from the $4.95 to help cover the costs of future logo certifications ($500/each certification) and the upcoming "Billing-On-Behalf-Of" fees.
I hope all of you will still feel this is a fair price for this app after considering all of the extra costs required for developing an app for the Smartphone vs. a Pocket PC (which has much less restrictions i.e. no digital signing/logo fees required).

that would be sweet if someone made an application which allowed you to input names of people at your dinner, how much their food costs, how much tax came to, how much of a % youd like to leave for tip and then have it calculate how much each person owes. THAT would be a program worth owning... after one meal where I'm not stuck paying the difference, it would pay for itself!
i would buy that in a second
oh and as for this program, it doesnt really seem necessary. if you want to figure out how much to tip, just double the tax. tax is about 8% so a 16% tip is pretty normal. then just divide it by the amount of people youre with in your head.
