I thought I would mention the headphones I use with my SPV, Koss KSC-35's. They are very light, hook over ear type and they sound great! I put the SPV and the 'phones to the test last night, by listening to U2 while strimming my garden! Even though the strimmer was punching out 112db, I still found myself singing along to 'Where the Streets have no name'! Ok, I could still hear the strimmer, but the music was loud and clear....I was impressed anyway.

The KSC-35's were discontinued, but another production run was started due to customer demand, so you might be lucky to get a set now. if you come accross them, I would thoroughly recommend them. The KSC-50's are the newer version, but most ppl prefer the sound of the '35's. I suppose this might be off-topic?

i prefer the band type headphones---i got a pair of Philips ones from argos (neckband ones) and they do the job for me--the SPV sounds good when its not killed by the original headphones.

Sony Groove for me all the way. Don't like it any bigger, especially on the move, but on a train or airplane - these are a good shout!

I'm using "Koss the Plug", working perfect with my homemade 3,5->2,5 mm converter. Really comfortable, low weight earplug headphones and really good bass sound.

I'm assuming there adapters available for purchase somewhere to allow use of decent headphones with the SPV, whilst still allowing the handsfree operation, etc?

Or have you guys all wired up adaptors yourself?

I did find an american site that sold one but I didn't bookmark it and I can't find the bloody thing now :x

At last, I found the website I mentioned in my last post!

Here it is -> SPVAA - Audio/headset adapter

Has anyone seen this product before?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Any word on the quality of these SPVAA's ??

Also, my personal recommendation on earphones are the Sony MDR E-888SP.... almost as good as a pair of Shure or Etymotic (no joke !) and at a fraction of the price PLUS much more comfortable and convenient
