Hi,

In Windows folder you can find ms_mobile.gif and ms_splash.gif.

The first one is the "Orange" Logo on the Top Right corner when placing a call. Is there a way to use our own logo/pict ?

The ms_splash.gif is the Boot Screen Logo... :)

Wow, so not only can you decert the phone, but you can change anything you want permanently in the windows folder (well, at least until you perform a hard reset) . Does that include the WMP skin?

Thanks,

Wyatt

The WMP can be changed and then set by tweaking the registery

so you do not need to this the way mentioned above.

This was posteded a long time ago.

I will have a look for the link in a bit.

whatever you do, dont change the network logo in the registry and get it wrong, it resets yer phone back to defaults and the certification turns back on

so, for now, I am not going to publish how to change the orange logo in the registry until i get it nailed shut, dont want complaints cos someone does it wrong :)

okay, here goes

WARNING: watch what you are doig with this, cos i managed to totally reset my phone doing this, incluing turning certification back on, so change this at your own risk)

Theres two logo's you can change for the dialing stuff, the logo that appears while typing in the number, and the logo that is there while in-call.

The logo size must be 176 x 20, and the file must be a GIF file.

And the file MUST be on the phone, NOT the SD card.

The registry settings you need to change are:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Shell/Rai/:MSCdial (thats the one for when you type in the phone number)

and

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Shell/Rai/:MSCprog (for the in-call logo)

and the key you need to change is: BannerImage (thanks for the correction muude)

just add the path of your file and yer done (i put mine in the IPSM folder, so the path was IPSMdial.gif presuming that you called the logo dial.gif of course)

you have to reboot your phone now for the changes to take place.

diong the first method mentioned at the beginning of this thread does indeed change the logo, but, both logos will be the same, and it wont survive a reboot, whereas this solution will be permanent (except a hard reset of course)

My next task is a Bub and Bob in Pacland skin that is a complete change, changes the homescreen, all error messages, windows media player, volume control  and a few other things, complete with a full bubble bobble sounds package, which has sound effects, music etc. All installable from the PC, so no tedious inputting (i hope)

Ok, yes, it is advertising our game, but it will be cool, trust me  i'll put screengrabs on my site for this as soon as i get em.

hold on, sorry geovass, just realised, i hijacked this thread

BannerImage

I haven't got any BKBitmapFile key anywhere...

Just created a new article which has been moved over outlining this reg tweak and many others (basically a copy and paste from my website)

I just noticed, on the top of your screen, you have an icon that vaguely resembles the windows logo, what is that an icon for?

Thanks,

Wyatt
