In the about icon it says windows mobile 2003 second edition but under system it says platform = pocket PC. If I am buying software do I buy pocket pc or windows smartphone? Is there a difference? Guest martin Posted December 4, 2005 Report Share Posted December 4, 2005 The XDAIIi has Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition for Pocket PC, phone edition so you want pocket PC software. Windows Mobile 2003 SE for the Smartphone is slightly different to the pocket PC version so software applications are generally incompatible.
